MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SATURDAY 6TH
OCTOBER, 2007 IN MEETING ROOM, GALLERY LEVEL, TAMWORTH REGIONAL GALLERY
Meeting commenced at 1.35 pm

MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: were
read and confirmed. Moved by Jo Crossing, seconded Janet McLean
CORRESPONDENCE: The Secretary tabled
the following:

and photograph from Aussie and Jenny Pratt
- Letter
from head office advising that they do not intend to deprive the Chapters of their $10 share of membership subscriptions

from the Art Gallery
advising the charge for future meetings will be $20.50 per hour

from head office re names and email address for contacts for the Chapter
Moved Jo Crossing, seconded Pat Worrad that the
correspondence be accepted.
BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:
Anne Ware moved that the Family History Group’s
room be used for future meetings, seconded Pat Worrad.
The Christmas Party is to be held on Saturday 1st
December, 2007 at Susan Circuitt’s home, 46 Jenkins Street, Nundle (turn right at the hotel). 11.00 am meeting followed
by lunch. Bring you own drinks and a folding chair. Contact no. for Susan is 67 693295.
Warren White had a quote for a bus for the proposed
trip to the Coast for 23 people $530. Due to lack of numbers it was decided that people travelling to the coast take their
own vehicles.
Picnic at Sheba Dame 2nd February. Leave Tamworth
at 10.00 am. A mini bus will be hired for this. Warren White is to get a quote.
Normal meeting to be held on 5th
April at Tamworth Family History Group’s rooms in the V. Guy Kable Building, Marius
Street. Moved W. White, seconded H. McLean.
Australia Day 26th January – this
is the day of the Cavalcade in the Country Music Festival. The usual activities will be held at Wallabadah and Kooringal is
having a breakfast. Members will also participate in the usual Australia Day Activities.
Members are asked to wear their shirts to the Cavalcade.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Warren reported a current balance as at 4th August, 2007
of $1,290.65. No accounts to be paid Moved by Warren that
the report be accepted, seconded Barbara Hodgson
GENERAL BUSINESS:
Harold McLean raised the matter of a cheque payable
to the First Fleeters being placed in the donation box for the maintenance of the First
Fleet Gardens and that he had
endorsed the cheque to Liverpool Plains Shire Council.
Warren White again raised the difficulties in resolving
the membership issues with head office. The situation is that we do not have control over information regarding our own membership.
Anne Ware invited interested people to a seminar
being conducted by the Armidale Family History Group on Saturday 20th October, 2007 from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. There
is a bus from Tamworth and the cost is $25 for the seminar and $17 for the bus. Cost includes
morning and afternoon teas, bring your own picnic lunch. The program includes presentations by Arnold Goode, Bill Wales (the
UNE archivist) and Jillian Oppenheimer plus a tour of Saumaresz homestead. Contact Anne Ware.
